What is included in the price of my hunt?
Application service, an experienced professional outfitter and guides, field dressing of harvested game, transportation during the hunt, lodging and meals (unless otherwise arranged), making your hunt a priority at all stages of the process, and exceptional communication at all times. Cougar hunts and the lower-priced bear package do not include lodging or meals.
What is not included?
New Mexico state licenses and fees, landowner tags (when applicable), meat processing or taxidermy, transportation to and from the designated meeting point, and gratuities for guides and cooks. Any pricing provided does not include these items unless otherwise specified.
What is the hunter-to-guide ratio?
Our standard is 2 hunters to 1 guide. A 1-on-1 guided hunt (1 hunter to 1 guide) is available upon request for an additional $1,000. All guides are experienced, knowledgeable, and committed to exceptional service.
How physically demanding are your hunts?
We guide hunters of all experience and fitness levels, and terrain varies from moderate ground to rugged mountain country. Let us know ahead of time if you have mobility limitations, prefer less demanding terrain, or need a slower-paced hunt, and we’ll match you with appropriate areas and a guide who fits your style. Please come prepared and in good physical condition — your ability to get into position and take the shot is a real factor in success.
How does the New Mexico draw work?
New Mexico uses a lottery-based draw system with no preference points, so every applicant starts each season with equal odds. Licenses are allocated 84% to residents, 10% to residents and non-residents applying with a registered New Mexico outfitter, and 6% to non-residents applying without an outfitter. We assist with application guidance, unit selection and understanding odds and deadlines.
Do you help with the license application?
Yes. Application service is included in every hunt. We assist hunters in selecting and applying for high-demand New Mexico units with realistic draw odds, and we make sure every hunter understands the entire process, timelines and requirements.
What gear should I bring?
In general: quality boots, layered clothing for changing weather, optics, your weapon sighted-in and ready, and a backpack with essentials. New Mexico weather can shift quickly — preparation is key. We’ll send specific guidance before your hunt.
What hunting style do you use?
Our hunts are conducted on the most pristine public lands across New Mexico, using a combination of scouting, glassing, calling and spot-and-stalk tactics depending on species, season and terrain. Expect early mornings, active glassing, and long days in the field. We tailor every hunt to the client, whether you prefer aggressive spot-and-stalk or slower-paced setups.
Do you scout before the season?
Yes. We scout before every season to locate active areas, bedding zones, travel routes and feeding patterns. That preparation gives you a clear advantage from the start of your hunt.
What can I expect for shot opportunities?
We focus on realistic expectations. Every hunt depends on weather, animal movement, shooting ability, terrain and physical effort. You can count on maximum effort, honest communication, and a hard-working guide every day, optimizing and taking advantage of every shot opportunity possible.
What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
A deposit is required to secure a hunt. All deposits are non-refundable, regardless of the reason or timing of the cancellation. The exact deposit amount is set by the booking agreement — contact us for details on your specific hunt.
